About Jack's Cause -- Fighting Hunger

The year after I graduated college, I moved to Honduras to work at Asociacion Hogar Nazareth (AHN), an organization that provides a safe home for children and those with disabilities. My time there was the most transformative year of my life, encountering Christ daily, growing in love for the poor, and developing skills that will one day make me a more compassionate doctor. Since moving back to the States in 2022, I have returned to Honduras twice, and this community has only grown closer to my heart. With each visit, I see how openness to the will of God has allowed this organization to be transformed. The joy within the community and residents of AHN has become more and more tangible. 

Wanting to continue serving AHN remotely from my apartment in Phoenix, I've set a goal to raise the funds to cover the cost of food for one month. Though this task is daunting, I remember Mother Theresa's quote: "If you can't feed a hundred people, just feed one." Below I have a breakdown of cost that shows the impact you can have through a simple donation.

 $7,180 feeds our 80 children (plus caretakers) their 3 meals a day. 100 hungry stomachs X 30 days X 3 meals a day / $7180 = 80 cents a meal. 

$ 40 = 50 meals
$ 80 = 100 meals 
 $160 = 200 meals 
 $ 320 = 400 meals 
$7,180 = 9,000 meals
